It was an honor to host the 4th edition of PMO Day for representatives of Project Management Offices from 24 ORLEN Group companies. The conference and project status presentation preceded intensive workshops led by Piotr Ogonowski.

It’s truly inspiring to work as an event host and interpreter with Poland’s largest company, a key player in the energy sector, and a firm ranked 44th in the prestigious “Fortune 500 Europe” list.

Moderator at the 5th International Climate Summit TOGETAIR

At this year’s TOGETAIR edition, I had the pleasure of hosting two debates, two special talks, and about 20 expert interviews in the so-called “hot chairs.” The discussions in the Business Connect hall started with a debate titled: “Large Corporations and Family Businesses – Opportunities and Challenges. Modern and Sustainable Organizational Cultures,” which I moderated in both Polish and English. On the second day of the Summit, we debated in the Climate Care hall on the topic: “The Responsibility of the Creator – Education or Eco-Scam?” with renowned communication experts.

English-Speaking Moderator for IFR-A Brainstorming Session

During a two-day business session with partners from the International Food Recruitment Alliance representing seven countries: Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, the UK, and Poland, we redefined the priorities of the association, tested the existing mission, and tackled the biggest obstacles to achieving the goals of each partner. The meeting was preceded by a thorough briefing and intensive one-on-one sessions with each partner to best understand their needs.

Moderator at the ESG Congress: Poland’s Business Power

My set of moderator tasks included the following debates: Special Panel: “Business Leaders – Strategy and Leadership in the ESG Era” and a debate titled: “Sports and Work-Life Balance. Social Trends and Expectations,” as well as an English-language mini-panel dedicated to the future and digitalization of marketing titled: “The Future of Performance Marketing.” During the congress, I conducted two inspiring special interviews: “Strength from Sports” with Olympic Champion Natalia Partyka and “Are Medical Fake News the New Civilizational Disease?” with Prof. Jarosław Pinkas.

Host for the Conference “Progress. Progress in Access to Culture”

The “We See Differently” Foundation recently invited me to host a conference and debate dedicated to increasing the accessibility of cultural venues for the blind and visually impaired.

During the debate, we discussed with government and cultural institution representatives the best ways to enhance accessibility in the most architecturally demanding venues.

My Interview with Olympic Champion!

I had the opportunity to discuss overcoming barriers and the strength derived from sports with Natalia Partyka – Olympic and Paralympic Champion in table tennis. Natalia shared her rituals that help her stay balanced and fully focused in the most stressful match conditions. Additionally, we talked about the mental health of children and adolescents and ways to enhance self-acceptance.

Checkmate! Press Conference with Garry Kasparov

Consecutive interpreting is also a public performance. It’s a special challenge when interpreting the world-renowned chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov for the country’s major media outlets.

We talked about popularizing chess competitions in Poland but also in a broader geopolitical context.

As an English-speaking host, I had the opportunity to create the script and host the evening gala for a company from Małopolska, celebrating a meeting of distributors from 27 countries worldwide, from Tanzania to Chile.

I am now well-versed in the attire and customs of Western Krakowians – in both Polish and English!

Expert on Polish Radio: Discussing Corporate Jargon and Translations on Air

We delved into the intricacies of corporate jargon, English-language buzzwords, and internet slang with Weronika Puszkar during a conversation on Polish Radio Four. I had the opportunity to share the most exciting aspects of working as a top-level conference interpreter in both government and challenging business environments.

Debate Moderator at the ESG Congress: Poland’s Business Power 2023

An important letter in the ESG acronym is S, representing social issues. In the context of business operations, social issues include employee health and well-being, diversity, inclusion, and appropriate policies ensuring all these aspects. The debate titled: “Sports and Work-Life Balance. Social Trends and Expectations,” which I had the pleasure of moderating, proceeded in this spirit.

During TOGETAIR 2023, I moderated a debate on the development stage and future of the Polish nuclear industry with a group of eminent experts and representatives from the scientific community.

Guest Lecture at the Applied Linguistics UMCS in Lublin

Sometimes, I return to my alma mater to share my experiences with Applied Linguistics students, drawing from 12 years of experience in the translation and event industry.

This time, as part of translation internships, students learned the principles of diplomatic protocol in the work of a conference interpreter at a diplomatic level.

English-Speaking Event Host in Space with #ESA BIC Poland

As an English-speaking event host, I was delighted to host the conference inaugurating the establishment of business incubators under the auspices of the European Space Agency commissioned by the Industrial Development Agency.
